Natural Latex Certificates

Buying a Latex Mattress or Latex Topper, "It's All About the Latex."

100% Natural Talalay from Talalay Global

Talalay Global makes a small quantity of "100% Natural Talatech Latex Rubber Foam", which FoamSource first began using when it became available, almost 15 years ago.

We find that 100% natural Talalay is the finest latex available, buoyant, wonderfully conforming, and extremely durable.

We use the 100% natural Talalay in our flagship Nu-Lex latex mattresses, all of our Talalay latex toppers, and for the comfort layer on the Natural Slumber 8" natural latex mattress.

FoamSource is proud of our more than 20 year relationship with Talalay Global (formerly Latex International).

100% Natural Talatech Latex Rubber Foam

Please remember, that in any latex mattress, "it's all about the latex"! How can you be sure of what you are getting?

Protect your investment and learn how to understand an Oeko-Tex certificate, which specifically lists the tested "article".

The tested "article" on the Oeko-Tex certificate is critical, when you are purchasing a natural latex mattress or topper, as it clearly states the material tested.

This is particularly true with Talalay latex, as more than 95% of Talalay latex, including Talalay from Talalay Global, is a blend of synthetic and natural latex.

All of the Talalay latex in our Nu-Lex mattresses and natural latex toppers is 100% Natural Talatech Latex Rubber Foam.

100% natural Dunlop latex from Latex Green

Latex Green only makes 100% natural or organic Dunlop latex, so you don't need to study the Oeko-Tex certificate as closely as the certificate from Talalay Global.

Latex Green also has the distinction of producing the ONLY latex that is produced from rubber trees that are certified as grown organically.

At FoamSouce we stock and use the 100% natural Dunlop from Latex Green in our Natural Slumber latex mattresses and in the Natural Lux latex mattress.

For those that desire Dunlop from organically grown rubber trees, that latex can be ordered at additional cost.

FoamSource is proud of our 15 year relationship with Latex Green.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Test Criteria

The internationally binding test catalogue according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is based on scientifically proven parameters and is revised annually in line with the latest legislation and research.

It includes testing for:
1) Illegal substances such as carcinogenic colourants.
2) Legally regulated substances such as formaldehyde, plasticizers, heavy metals or pentachlorophenol.
3) Substances which according to current knowledge are harmful to health, but which are not yet regulated or prohibited by law such as pesticides, allergenic dyes or tin-organic compounds.
4) Parameters such as colour fastness and a skin-friendly pH-value, which are precautionary measures to safeguard consumer health.

Overall the test criteria clearly exceed existing legislation and often have a pioneering function regarding legal regulations – such as the exclusion of carcinogenic azo dyes, the strict limit values for formaldehyde as well as the ban on allergenic dyes.
